What happens after the demo.
Setting up an install is a short, guided job. Here is the order things happen in, and what we need from you.
The steps
-
We create your install
Your own server and database at
yourcompany.tidycentral.com. We run it, back it up and keep it updated. -
You connect Shopify
A guided page in your install walks you through creating a Shopify custom app and pasting its credentials. Orders start syncing when it is done.
-
Carrier and mailbox
Connect your FedEx account, or EasyPost, for labels. If you are taking Support Desk, connect the Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace mailbox your customers already write to.
-
Warehouse, products and people
Set up your warehouses, bins and locations. Confirm the products that came over from Shopify. Add users and give them roles. Routing rules decide which warehouse and box type each order gets.
-
The team adds the apps
Pickers add TidyPick, drivers add TidyRoute, the floor adds TidyChat, all from your install's address. Then ship the first orders.
What we need from you
- A Shopify custom app on your store. The guided page shows exactly which access scopes to tick.
- A mailbox choice for Support Desk: Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, and an admin who can approve the connection.
- A carrier account: your FedEx account for direct labels, or an EasyPost account for UPS, USPS and others.
- Your warehouse layout: warehouses, zones and bin names, if you already have them.
Timeline
The install is ready the same day. Connecting Shopify and the carrier is usually an afternoon. Most teams ship their first orders through it within the first week and move the rest of the warehouse over as they go. The mailbox and the add ons can be switched on at any point after that.
